29 CFR 1926.503(a)(1): A training program was not provided to each employee who might be exposed to fall hazards, to enable that employee to recognize the hazards of falling, and be trained in the procedures to be followed to minimize these hazards: a- 50 Sidney Avenue, Deal NJ: On or about 05/30/13, company employees performing roof shingle rip, tear, replace and other related activities from a ladder jack scaffold and from a 14 on 12 pitched roof were exposed to falls iof approximately 22 feet 2 inches to the ground below when they were not provided with any fall protection. In addition, the company employees had not received fall protection training. NOTE: IN ADDITION TO ABATEMENT CERTIFICATION, THE EMPLOYER IS REQUIRED TO SUBMIT ABATEMENT DOCUMENTATION FOR THIS ITEM, FAILURE TO COMPLY WILL RESULT IN AN ADDITIONAL PENALTY OF $1000.00 IN ACCORDANCE WITH 29 CFR 1903.19.
