29 CFR 1926.503(a)(1): The employer did not provide a training program for each employee who was exposed to fall hazards that enabled each employee to recognize the hazards of falling and train each employee in the procedures to be followed in order to minimize these hazards. a) 74 Virginia Dr., Berlin, NJ: Two employees installing roof sheathing were not using fall protection (PFAS, safety nets, guardrails, etc.) and were thus exposed to fall hazards of greater than 14 feet, from the roof to the ground. The employer did not train each employee to recognize the hazards of falling and the procedures to be followed in order to minimize these hazards. Observed on or about 5/07/2013. Five Star Quality Construction Inc was previously cited for a violation of this occupational safety and health standard or its equivalent standard, 29 CFR 1926.503(a)(1), which was contained in OSHA inspection number 699658, citation number 01, item number 02, group a, and was affirmed as a final order on 4/22/13, with respect to a workplace located at 1815 Lombard St Philadelphia, PA 19146. NOTE: IN ADDITION TO ABATEMENT CERTIFICATION, THE EMPLOYER IS REQUIRED TO SUBMIT ABATEMENT DOCUMENTATION FOR THIS ITEM. FAILURE TO COMPLY WILL RESULT IN AN ADDITIONAL PENALTY OF $1000.00 IN ACCORDANCE WITH 29 CFR 1903.19.
