Text For Citation: 01 Item/Group: 001 Hazard:
29 CFR 1910.23(c)(1): Open-sided floors and/or platforms four feet or more above adjacent floor or ground level were not guarded with standard railings (or equivalent) and toeboards: (a) On or about April 3, 2013, and at times prior thereto, employees were exposed to fall hazards while working around the shakers. There were four openings in the guardrails that had gaps approximately 16 inches and 24 inches that exposed employees to a fall of approximately 8 feet to the bottom of the mud tank while checking and cleaning the shaker filters. Nabors Drilling Rig #152 location is Well Legaard 2-25HNB near Fortuna, ND. Note: This company was previously cited for a violation of this Occupational Safety and Health standard or its equivalent standard which was contained in OSHA Inspection Number 316065440, Citation 2, Item 2, and was affirmed as a final order on December 24, 2012, with respect to a workplace located at Lat: 29.955714 N Long: 94.514161 W, near Devers, TX.
