29 CFR 1910.334(c)(1): Unqualified persons performed testing work on electric circuits or equipment. (a) Employees who performed voltage measurements on energized components up to 480v on machines and equipment such as, but not limited to conveyors and loader/unloaders were not qualified to perform testing work on electric circuits or equipment. Abatement certification is required for this item in accordance with the requirements of 1903.19(c). Abatement note: Qualified persons shall be capable of working safely on energized circuits and shall be familiar with the proper use of special precautionary techniques, personal protective equipment (PPE), insulating and shielding materials and insulated tools (see 1910.333(c)(2)).
