Section 5(a)(1) of the Occupational Safety and Health Act of 1970: The employer did not furnish employment and a place of employment which were free from recognized hazards that were causing or likely to cause death or serious physical harm to employees in that employees were exposed to a falling hazard during the placing of a fiberglass tub on a suspended load due to the dropping of the load: a) Flooring Area - Two, two ton electric hoist, lifting a 4,300 pound, eight feet above ground, while two employees carry a tub onto the suspended load, on or about April 29, 1987. A feasible and useful method to correct this hazard, among other methods is the placing of the fiberglass tub on the floor when it is on the ground.
