Text For Citation: 01 Item/Group: 002 Hazard:
29 CFR 1926.416(a)(1): Employees were permitted to work in proximity to electric power circuits and were not protected against electric shock by de-energizing and grounding the circuits or effectively guarding the circuits by insulation or other means: On or about August 16, 2012 and times prior thereto, an employee of Hammett Electric, Inc. performed work as an Electrician's Apprentice installing interior electrical for a residence being constructed at 41 Church Street in Wooster, Arkansas. The employee was permitted to work directly with a 120V live wire while stripping insulation with the use of an insulated stripping hand tool for dishwasher installation and was not protected, exposing the employee to electrical hazards.
