29 CFR 1910.424(c)(4)(i): A diver-carried reserve breathing gas supply consisting of either a manual reserve (j valve) or an independent reserve cylinder with a separate regulator or connected to the underwater breathing apparatus was not provided for each diver: On or about April 18, 2012, a diver was performing SCUBA diving operations approximately 37 feet underwater inside the Lake O.H. Ivie Pump Intake Structure without a reserve breathing gas supply. Pursuant to 29 C.F.R. 1903.19, within ten (10) calendar days of the date of this citation, the employer must submit documentation showing that it is in compliance with the standard, including describing the steps that it is taking to ensure that all SCUBA divers are provided with a reserve breathing gas supply.
