Section 5(a)(1) of the Occupational Safety and Health Act of 1970: The employer did not furnish employment and a place of employment which were free from recognized hazards that were causing or likely to cause death or serious physical harm to employees in that employees were exposed to the condition(s) listed below: Halliburton Energy Services, Dora Roberts Devonian Unit 3401, Midland County, TX. On 11/21/07, the employees did not effectively communicate to all other employees performing work in the area that an employee was operating and monitoring a HT2000 3512B Pump connected to a manifold truck (Unit #10864618) to set a pump seal when the line became pressurized. Among others, feasible means of abatement could include: Ensure that all employees and supervisors involved in pressuring a line are in effective communication with each other through communication equipment or hand signals and are familiar with communication and safety procedures.on
