Public Law 91-596 Section 5 (a) (1) of the Occupational Safety and Health Act of 1970: Each employer shall furnish to each of his employees employment and a place of employment which are free from recognized hazards that are causing or are likely to cause injuries created by contact with the swinging arm of the robot. Pin Drilling Department - Robotic system was not equipped with an operational interlocked gate. Among other methods a feasible and acceptable means of abatement to correct these hazards is to instruct and train workers on safe work procedures before the operation of this machinery. as outlined in ANSI/RIA R15.06-1986 6.2.3. Additionally ensure adequate supervision that correct operating procedures are being followed. EMPLOYER SENT PHOTOGRAPHS OF INTERLOCKS INSTALLED.
