Section 5(a)(1) of the Occupational Safety and Health Act of 1970: The employer did not furnish employment and a place of employment which were free from recognized hazards that were causing or likely to cause death or serious physical harm to employees in that employees were exposed to the following conditions: (a)On or about April 01, 2004, in the Main sawmill on the out - going feed end of the Edger #07815T, the hazard of the equipment to be inadvertently energized due to the control buttons not being marked or clearly identifiable. One feasible and acceptable abatement method, among others to correct this hazard would be to have control station clearly labeled / marked to indicate the function controlled, as specified by paragraph 5.11.2(a) of American Society of Mechanical Engineers, standard B20.1-1983, Conveyors. *** Certification and Documentation of Abatement Required ***
