Section 5(a)(1) of the Occupational Safety and Health Act of 1970: The employer did not furnish employment and a place of employment which were free from recognized hazards that were causing or likely to cause death or serious physical harm to employees in that employees were exposed to electrical hazards: a.On or about April 25, 2002, the seafood company did not have a ground fault circuit interrupter installed in branch circuits in normally damp or wet environments, exposing the employees to electrical shock hazards. One feasible and acceptable method to abate this hazard, among other methods, is to install ground fault circuit interrupters to protect those outlets in normally damp or wet locations. ABATEMENT CERTIFICATION IS NOT REQUIRED.TION
