Section 5(a)(1) of the Occupational Safety and Health Act of 1970: The employer did not furnish employment and a place of employment which were free from recognized hazards that were causing or likely to cause death or serious physical harm to employees in that employees were exposed to aggravated injuries and/or death due to inability to communicate with supervisors and/or medical services while working in a remote area: a) Jobsite at Lewis Street an Tin Mill Road, Dolomite/Pleasant Grove, AL - On or about March 15, 2000 employees were not able to communicate with others in the event of unexpected situations. Among other methods, one feasible and acceptable method is for the employer to provide some means of communication such as two way radios.cation
