Section 5(a)(1) of the Occupational Safety and Health Act of 1970: The employer did not furnish a place of employment which was free from recognized hazards that were likely to cause death or serious physical harm to employees in that employees were working in a self propelled extensible boom aerial lift and were not utilizing an appropriate fall arrest system. Along the north side of the building located at 50 South Street, North Aurora, IL, an employee was working in an articulating boom aerial lift approximately 16 feet above the ground and was not using fall protection as specified in ANSI A92.5-1980 Section 13.2.6 as well as in the Operator's Manual.
