29 CFR 1910.132(d)(1): The employer did not assess the workplace to determine if hazards are present, or are likely to be present, which necessitate the use of personal protective equipment (PPE): (a) Granite and Marble Designs LLC at 650 E 49th Ave, Denver, CO 80216: On and before March 22, 2012, the employer did not assess the workplace to determine if hazards are present, or are likely to be present, for tasks such as, but not limited to, use of muriatic acid and general housekeeping. This condition potentially exposes employees to chemical splashes, burns, and inhalation hazards. Abatement Note: The employer shall verify that the required workplace assessment has been performed through a written certification that shall identify the following: (1) The workplace evaluated; (2) The person certifying that the evaluation has been performed; (3) The date(s) of the hazard assessment; and (4) The document as a certification of hazard assessment. Abatement Note: Abatement certification is required for this item (see enclosed Certification of Corrective Action Worksheet).
