29 CFR 1910.305(g)(2)(iii): Flexible cords and cables shall be connected to devices and fittings so that strain relief is provided that will prevent pull from being directly transmitted to joints or terminal screws. a. On or before March 14, 2012, central within the facility, on the Nestaflex machine, the employer failed to ensure a wiring connection was protected in that it was pulled out of the strain relief clamp of the plug on the power cable exposing the inside wiring insulation, thereby exposing employees to a contact hazard.
