29 CFR 1910.1024(f)(2)(i): The employer did not use engineering and/or work practice controls to the extent that such controls were feasible to reduce and/or maintain employee airborne exposure to or below the PEL and STEL: Foundry - On or about February 11, 2025, an employee conducting copper-beryllium casting activities was exposed to an 8-hour time weighted average (TWA) of 0.42 micrograms per cubic meter (ug/m3) of beryllium which was approximately 2.1 times the Permissible Exposure Limit (PEL) of 0.2 ug/m3. The employer failed to implement feasible engineering and work practice controls to reduce exposure to beryllium.
