29 CFR 1910.151(c): Where the eyes or body of any person may be exposed to injurious corrosive materials, suitable facilities for quick drenching or flushing of the eyes and body shall be provided within the work area for immediate emergency use. Reference: ANSI Z358.1 Emergency Eyewash and Shower Standard On or about April 24, 2024, at the facility located at 307 South Commerce Street, Cedar Grove, Wisconsin; the employer failed to ensure that employees checking the fluid level of the lead acid batteries were provided with suitable means for quick drenching of the eyes and body, exposing employees to potential chemical burns.
