29 CFR 1910.30(a)(1): The employer did not provide training for each employee who used personal fall protection systems or who was required to be trained as specified elsewhere in this subpart before the employees were exposed to a fall hazards: (a) At Roofing Department: On or about 11/16/2023 and at times prior, the employer exposed employees to fall hazards, in that employees had not received fall protection training prior to performing the installation of roofing shingles while working 10 feet or more above the ground. In accordance with 29 CFR 1903.19(d), abatement certification is required for this violation (using the CERTIFICATION OF CORRECTIVE ACTION WORKSHEET), and in addition, documentation demonstrating that abatement is complete must be included with your certification. This documentation may include, but is not limited to, evidence of the purchase or repair of the equipment, photographic or video evidence of abatement, or other written records.
