29 CFR 1926.416(e)(1): Worn or frayed electric cords or cables were used: a) 30 Wilson Avenue, New Square, NY: On or about 5/31/23, employees used a worn and frayed extension cord to connect a circular saw to site electrical power when cutting wood sheathing. b) 50 Wilson Avenue, New Square, NY: On or about 6/7/23, employees used a worn and frayed extension cord to connect a circular saw to electrical power when cutting wood sheathing. Because abatement of this violation is already documented in the inspection file, the employer need not submit certification or documentation of abatement for this violation as normally required by 29 CFR 1903.19.
