29 CFR 1910.252(a)(3)(ii): All hollow spaces, cavities, or containers were not vented to permit the escape of air or gases before preheating, cutting, or welding was performed: a) Valu Auto, LLC, 113 Southside Drive, Owego, NY 13827: On or about 5/31/2023 and continuing, the employer did not prevent employees from cutting or welding on a used diesel tank that had not been vented to permit the escape of gases before preheating, cutting, or welding was performed, including but not limited to diesel fuel which when subjected to heat, causing and employee hospitalization due to 3rd degree burn injuries.
