29 CFR 1910.147(c)(6)(i):The employer shall conduct a periodic inspection of the energy control procedure at least annually to ensure that the procedure and the requirements of this standard are being followed. a) South Barium Leaching: On or about June 1, 2023, and at times prior, the employer exposed employees to the release of uncontrolled thermal and chemical energy hazards, in that the employer did not inspect the energy control procedures at least annually while employees were tasked with applying lock out/ tag out devices, blanking, blinding or double block and bleeding.
