29 CFR 1915.73(f): Sections of bilges from which floor plates or gratings have been removed were not guarded by guardrails in areas where they would not interfere with work in progress and in walkways, two 10-inch planks placed side by side, or equivalent, were not laid across the opening to provide a safe walking surface . A) Vessel Durable, Bow Thruster Room, on or about 4/12/2023, and or times prior to, the employer exposed employees to a fall hazard in that deck plates were missing around an area where employees were walking and working.
