29 CFR 1910.147(c)(6)(i):The employer shall conduct a periodic inspection of the energy control procedure at least annually to ensure that the procedure and the requirements of this standard are being followed. On or about February 20, 2023, the employer failed to ensure a periodic inspection of the No. 5 Rotary Reverberatory Furnace Energy Control (Lockout/Tagout) Procedure with a review of the authorized employees' responsibilities under the procedure was conducted at least annually to ensure that the procedure and the requirements of the standard were being followed.
