29 CFR 1926.501(b)(13): Each employee(s) engaged in residential construction activities 6 feet (1.8 m) or more above lower levels were not protected by guardrail systems, safety net system, or personal fall arrest system, nor were employee(s) provided with an alternative fall protection measure under another provision of paragraph 1926.501 (b): Location: Jobsite on Bible Hill Rd. Instance a.) On or about February 10, 2023, employees framing a residential home were not protected from falls of between 7 and 11 feet where the window openings at the back of the first floor did not have guardrails installed on them to prevent an employee from falling out. Instance b.) On or about February 10, 2023, employees framing a residential home were not protected from falls of approximately 9 feet from the attic deck to the first floor where the attic deck was not fully sheathed. A large portion of the attic deck was open, where employees could have fallen through the floor joists down to the first floor.
