29 CFR 1910.179(l)(3)(iii): Repairs or replacements were not provided promptly as needed for safe operation of crane(s): (a) On or before 2/2/23, the employer did not ensure that the Cleveland bridge crane (sn: 18160-82) was taken out of service when the auxiliary hoist lower block defeated the limit switch and came into contact with the trolley. The lower block fell due to damage to the rope after the lower block contacted the trolley. This condition exposed employees and vendor employees to a falling crane block.
