29 CFR 1910.215(b)(3): Bench and floor stands. The angular exposure of the grinding wheel periphery and sides for safety guards used on machines known as bench and floor stands exceeded 90 deg. or one-fourth of the periphery. On or about January 11, 2023, and thereafter, employees engaged in sawmill activities at the worksite located at 33643 MO-6 Brashear, Missouri 63533 were exposed to struck-by and caught between hazards in that the employer did not ensure employees conducting maintenance and repair work with a bench grinder were protected by side shields and guards on the equipment.
