29 CFR 1910.178(q)(7): Powered industrial trucks were not examined at least daily before being placed in service. On or about January 11, 2023, and thereafter, employees engaged in sawmill activities at the worksite located at 33643 MO-6 Brashear, Missouri 63533 were exposed to caught between and crushing hazards in that the employer did not ensure powered industrial trucks that employees were operating in the worksite had been examined daily before putting into service. Employees were exposed to caught between and crushed by hazards while operating unexamined forklifts to move lumber stacks and other material throughout the facility as part of their daily work activities. . Instances include but are not limited to: Instance 1: Komatsu forklift used by employees daily. Instance 2: Toyota forklift used by employees daily. Instance 3: Hyster forklift used by employees daily.
