29 CFR 1910.266(d)(7)(i): Hand signals or audible contact, such as, but not limited to, whistles, horns, or radios, were not utilized whenever noise, distance, restricted visibility, or other factors prevented clear understanding of normal voice communications between employees: (a) On or about 01/11/2023 and at times prior to -behind the church, employees performing logging operations and using chain saws to cut trees did not use hand signals or audible contact between employees, exposing them to the hazard of being struck by falling trees.
