29 CFR 1910.212(a)(1):One or more methods of machine guarding was not provided to protect the operator and other employees in the machine area from hazards such as those created by point of operation, ingoing nip points, rotating parts, flying chips and sparks: a) For the Rayco production area, on or about September 19, 2022, and at times prior to, the employer exposed employees to caught-in hazards, in that, reciprocating motion by the nailing gantry component of the Rayco pallet assembly machine, model Pallet Pro, Serial # P201849, was not guarded. b) For the Rayco production area, on or about September 19, 2022, and at times prior to, the employer exposed employees to caught-in hazards, in that, reciprocating motion by the nailing gantry component of the Rayco pallet assembly machine, model Pallet Pro, Serial # P201957-0PP, was not guarded.
