29 CFR 1910.147(c)(4)(ii)(B):The energy control procedures did not clearly and specifically outline the steps for shutting down, isolating, blocking and securing machines or equipment to control hazardous energy. a) For the Rayco production area, on or about September 19, 2022, and at times prior to, employees were exposed to caught-in hazards, in that, the employer did not have energy control procedures for jam clearing and relied on cycle pause buttons and emergency stop buttons to de-energize the nailing gantry component of the Rayco pallet assembly machine, model Pallet Pro, Serial # P201849. b) For the Rayco production area, on or about September 19, 2022, and at times prior to, employees were exposed to caught-in hazards, in that, the employer did not have energy control procedures for jam clearing and relied on cycle pause buttons and emergency stop buttons to de-energize the nailing gantry component of the Rayco pallet assembly machine, model Pallet Pro, Serial # P201957-0PP.
