29 CFR 1926.1052(c)(1)(ii): Stairways having four or more risers or rising more than 30 inches (76 cm), whichever is less, were not equipped with at least one handrail and one stairrail system along each unprotected side or edge: a) On September 14, 2022, employees were exposed to the hazard of falling while using stairways that were not equipped with a stairrail system. Araujo Construction Corp., was previously cited for a violation of this occupational safety and health standard or its equivalent standard 29 CFR 1926.102(a)(1), which was contained in OSHA inspection number 1338497, citation number 1, item number 4 and was affirmed as a final order on October 18, 2018, with respect to a workplace located at 3504 N. Bell Ave., Chicago, Illinois 60618. No abatement certification or documentation is required for this item.
