29 CFR 1926.102(a)(1): Employees were not provided with eye and face protection equipment when machines or operations present potential eye or face injury from physical, chemical, or radiation agents: a) On September 14, 2022, employees were exposed to eye injury while operating pneumatic nail guns without eye protection during carpentry work. Araujo Construction Corp., was previously cited for a violation of this occupational safety and health standard or its equivalent standard 29 CFR 1926.102(a)(1), which was contained in OSHA inspection number 1338497, citation number 1, item number 2 and was affirmed as a final order on October 18, 2018, with respect to a workplace located at 3504 N. Bell Ave., Chicago, Illinois 60618. No abatement certification or documentation is required for this item.
