29 CFR 1910.28(b)(1)(i): The employer did not ensure that each employee on a walking-working surface with an unprotected side or edge that is 4 feet (1.2 m) or more above a lower level is protected from falling by one or more of the systems described in 29 CFR 1910.28(b)(1)(i): (a) On or about August 15th, 2022, and at times prior thereto, a section of walkway under the 23 shop basement access was not protected to prevent employees from being exposed to fall hazards (b) On or about September 1st, 2022 and at times prior thereto, an elevated platform in the Compressor room leading to the air pressure disconnect valve from compressor #5 to the main feed line was not protected to prevent employee exposure to fall hazards.
