29 CFR 1926.251(a)(1): Rigging equipment for material handling was not inspected prior to use on each shift and as necessary during its use to ensure that it is safe. Defective rigging equipment shall be removed from service. a) Jobsite located at 546 Valor Dr, Downington PA: The employer did not ensure that rigging equipment used for the raising and lowering of a gable end truss was inspected prior to use in that a damaged synthetic web sling containing multiple snags, cuts and tears was rigged to lift a gable end truss, exposing employees to struck-by hazards. Condition noted on or about July 21, 2022.
