29 CFR 1926.405(g)(2)(iv): Strain Relief. Flexible cords were not connected to devices and fittings so that strain relief is provided to prevent pull from being directly transmitted to joints or terminal screws. On or about April 9, 2022, flexible cords used during foundation repair work did not have strain relief, exposing the employees to an electrical hazard. 1) A drop light used during the work had strain relief damage; 2) A yellow flexible cord used during the work did not have strain relief.
