29 CFR 1910.252(a)(2)(xiii)(C):The employer did not recognize its responsibility for the safe usage of cutting or welding equipment, and did not insist that cutters or welders and their supervisors were suitably trained in the safe operation of their equipment and the safe use of the process: a) Worksite, 20 Marina Drive, Coeymans, New York, Maintenance Shop: On or about to January 20, 2022, an employee was welding a bracket on the side of a 275-gallon used oil tank that was approximately ? full of used oil and other unknown combustible liquids. The employee was not trained on the safe usage of the Miller MIG welding unit.
