29 CFR 1926.1060(a): The employer did not provide a training program for each employee using ladders and stairways, as necessary, which would enable each employee to recognize hazards related to ladders and stairways and train each employee in the procedures to be followed to minimize these hazards: a. The employer fails to ensure a training program for employees using ladders as demonstrated on or about 10/16/2021, at Lot #4 Taylors Way, Moody, Alabama when employees using extension ladders to access the roof had not been trained in the proper use and safety of ladders. To abate this hazard, the employer must ensure employees are trained to recognize hazards related to ladders and the procedures to follow to minimize these hazards. Pursuant to 29 CFR 1903.19, the employer must submit documents describing the measures it is taking to ensure compliance, including documentation that employees have been trained. Vicente Olmas Gayosso dba Vicente Olmas Gayosso was previously cited for a second repeat violation of this occupational safety and health standard or its equivalent standard 29 CFR 1926.1060(a), which was contained in OSHA inspection number 1542443, citation number 1, item number 3b and was affirmed as a final order on 09/21/2021, with respect to a workplace located at 345 Taylors Way, Moody, AL.
