29 CFR 1910.1200(h)(1): Employer did not provide employees with effective information and training on hazardous chemicals in their work area at the time of their initial assignment, and whenever a new chemical hazard the employees have not previously been trained about was introduced into their work area. a) Production Building: On March 26, 2021 and prior to; employees involved in various trades to include welders, cutters, painters, and sheet rock installers were not made aware of the hazards associated with welding, cutting, grinding and painting on steel shipping containers. Paint on shipping containers consists of paints that are eye, skin, and respiratory irritants to include but not limited to epoxy resins (water soluble), Titanium dioxide, Propylene glycol, and Iron oxide. Painters are working with paints to include but not limited to Sherwin Williams Pro Primer Interior Latex Paint. Note* Abatement certification IS required.
