29 CFR 1910.213(c)(1): Circular handfed ripsaws were not guarded by an automatically adjusting hood which completely enclosed that portion of the saw above the table and above the material being cut: (a)Woodland Cabinetry, Inc. at 2415 East Highway 10, Sisseton, SD 57262: On or about and at times prior to January 7, 2021, the employer did not ensure that the SawStop 10" professional Cabinet Saw in the framing area was guarded by a hood to completely enclose the portion of the saw above the table and above the material being cut. Employees were utilizing the SawStop table saw used for Dado cuts with no guard in place. This condition exposed employees to amputations hazards associated with the unguarded blade. (b)Woodland Cabinetry, Inc. at 2415 East Highway 10, Sisseton, SD 57262: On or about and at times prior to January 7, 2021, the employer did not ensure that the Dado saw in the Specialty Door Box area was guarded by a hood to completely enclose the portion of the saw above the table and above the material being cut. Employees were utilizing the table saw for Dado cuts with no guard in place. This condition exposed employees to amputations hazards associated with the unguarded Dado blade.
