29 CFR 1910.178(l)(1)(i): The employer did not ensure that each powered industrial truck operator was competent to operate a powered industrial truck safely, as demonstrated by the successful completion of the training and evaluation specified in this paragraph (l): a) On February 25, 2021 and at times prior thereto the employer had not developed, or provided powered industrial truck training for employees that included formal instruction, practical training and an evaluation of performance for truck related topics and work-place related topics. Employees operate powered industrial trucks at the company location and other locations, which may involve driving on and off drive-off trailers. Note) Certification of corrective action is required for this item.
