29 CFR OSH ACT of 1970 Section (5)(a)(1):The employer did not furnish employment and a place of employment which were free from recognized hazards that were causing or likely to cause death or serious physical harm to employees exposing employees to struck by hazards. a) Worksite, 6 Blue Bird Lane, Huntington, New York 11743: On January 18, 2021, an employee was exposed to struck-by hazards from a secondary tree limb that was used as an anchor and rigging point. The employer did not have a qualified arborist to recognize and prevent safety hazards associated with tree trimming, tree climbing and rigging operations while working aloft in a tree. Note: In addition to abatement certification, the employer is required to submit abatement documentation for this item in accordance with 29 CFR 1903.19.
