Text For Citation: 01 Item/Group: 001 Hazard:
29 CFR 1915.152(b): Hazard assessment and equipment. The employer shall assess its work activity to determine whether there are hazard present, or likely to be present, which necessitate the employee's use of PPE. If such hazards are present, or likely to be present, the employer shall: a.) Montana SSN 794: On or about 10/09/2020, the employer failed to access the work activity to determine whether there was a hazard present in that an employee removed the final bolt that secured the diving door, the door swung down, hit the impact wrench pushing it down and crushed the tip of the employee's left thumb. Abatement certification required within 10 days after abatement date. The certification shall include a statement that abatement is complete, date and method of abatement, and states employees and their representatives were informed of this abatement.
