29 CFR 1910.132(f)(1): The employer shall provide training to each employee who is required by this section to use PPE. Each such employee shall be trained to know at least the following: (i) When PPE is necessary; (ii) What PPE is necessary; (iii) How to properly don, doff, adjust, and wear PPE; (iv) The limitations of the PPE; (a) On or about 08/24/2020, an employee of Kaplan Industries, Inc. located at 6255 Kilby Road in Harrison, Ohio was not trained to know what PPE to use, when to use, how to don and the limitations of wearing a regular company T-shirt, regular jeans, and safety glasses when engaged in opening gas valves and releasing residual hydrocarbon gas mixtures into the atmosphere.
