29 CFR 1926.652(a)(1): Each employee in an excavation was not protected from cave-ins by an adequate protective system designed in accordance with 29 CFR 1926.652 (b) or (c): The employer is failing to protect employees from crushing injuries while performing work in excavations. This was most recently documented on September 3, 2020 at 320 W Glenvil St, Clay Center, Nebraska where two employees had been working in an 8 foot deep excavation with no protective systems in place. One employee received serious injuries after the excavation caved in.
