29 CFR 1910.147(c)(7)(i): The employer did not provide adequate training to ensure that the purpose and function of the energy control program was understood by employees: Instance 1: On or about July 15, 2020 and at times prior thereto, machine operators had not been trained properly on the purpose and functions of a energy control program and were unable to identify that machine services they were performing required the machines energy sources to be controlled, exposing the employees to the hazards of unexpected start-up of energy sources. Instance 2: On or about June 01, 2020 and at times prior thereto, a machine operator was performing operations that required the control of hazardous energy without being properly trained, exposing the employee to the hazards of unexpected start-up of energy sources.
