29 CFR 1910.217(c)(5)(i): Mechanical power press(es) where the operator feeds or removes parts by placing one or both hands in the point of operation, and a two hand control, presence sensing device, or type B gate or movable barrier guard is used, were not provided with a control system and brake monitoring which comply with paragraphs (b)(13) and (b)(14) of this standard: 400 Riverside Avenue, Bristol, Connecticut: On, or about, July 16, 2020, Press #23, a Federal partial revolution was operated using two hand controls and was manually fed. The press was not equipped with a brake monitor and did not appear to have features to ensure control reliability such as, but not limited to, a way for the Ross self-checking dual solenoid valve to disable press stroking in the event of a valve failure.
