29 CFR 1910.134(f)(2): Employee(s) using tight-fitting facepiece respirators were not fit tested prior to initial use of the respirator or annually refitted: Palisades Medical Center, 7600 River Road, North Bergen, NJ 07047 a) The employer required Transport Aides to wear N-95 respirators when transporting and positioning patients including those under investigation and/or confirmed as COVID-19 positive. However, the employer did not provide these employees with an initial fit test to ensure the respirator fit employees to protect them from exposure to the virus. b) The employer required Transport Aides to wear N-95 respirators when transporting and positioning patients including those under investigation and/or confirmed as COVID-19 positive. However, the employer did not provide these employees with an annual fit test prior to March 2020 to ensure the respirator fit employees to protect them from exposure to the virus. Violation occurred on or about 3/17/2020 and thereafter.
