29 CFR 1910.134(f)(2): Employee(s) using tight-fitting facepiece respirators were not fit tested prior to initial use of the respirator and whenever a different respirator facepiece (size, style, model or make) was used and annually thereafter: a) Emergency Department The employer did not provide initial fit tests for employees, including physician assistants and nurse practitioners who were provided and required to wear N95 respirators while providing care for COVID-19 positive patients and COVID-19 patients under investigation. b) Emergency Department The employer did not provide fit tests whenever a different respirator facepiece (size, style, model or make) is used for East Orange General Hospital employees, including nurses and technicians who were provided and required to wear N95 respirators to provide care for COVID-19 positive patients and COVID-19 patients under investigation. Violation occurred on or about 4/20/2020 and thereafter.
