29 CFR 1910.134(g)(1)(i)(B): Respirators with tight-fitting facepieces were worn by employees with a condition that interfered with the face-to-facepiece seal or valve function: a) Shop spray paint booth areas: On or about February 04, 2020, and at times prior thereto, employees performing spray paint operations were exposed to respiratory hazards from not having an effective seal when using a tight-fitting half-mask respirator while having facial hair present. b) Shop spray paint booth areas: On or about February 04, 2020, and at times prior thereto, employees performing spray paint operations were exposed to respiratory hazards from not having an effective seal when using a tight-fitting half-mask respirator while having warped valves within the respirator.
