Text For Citation: 01 Item/Group: 002B Hazard:
29 CFR 1926.416(a)(1): No employer shall permit an employee to work in such proximity to any part of an electric power circuit that the employee could contact the electric power circuit in the course of work, unless the employee is protected against electric shock by deenergizing the circuit and grounding it or by guarding it effectively by insulation or other means. On or before December 30, 2019, located on the east side of Tyler Technologies, Inc. facility, employees were installing metal siding onto an exterior commercial structure while operating a telescopic boom lift making contact with 7,200V line overhead power line that had not been deenergized and/or other protective measures such as guarding, isolating, or insulating, taken to prevent making contact with the power lines before the employees performing the work.
